FRRO Services – “Legal Stays Made Simple”

At Nexus Travels & Global Services, we assist our international clients with FRRO (Foreigner Registration in India).
As per Government of India regulations, all foreign nationals (except Overseas Citizens of India) visiting India on a long-term visa (more than 180 days) must register with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of arrival.

• Pakistani nationals must register within 24 hours of arrival, regardless of stay duration.
• Children below 12 years are exempt from registration.

FRRO Registration Requirements

• All foreign nationals (including those of Indian origin) visiting India for more than 180 days on Medical, Student, Research, Employment, Project, or Missionary visas must register with the FRRO/FRO within 14 days of arrival.
• Business Visa holders must register if their stay exceeds 180 days in a calendar year.
• Foreigners on other long-term visas are not required to register if their stay is under 180 days. If they extend beyond 180 days, registration must be completed within that period.

Special Requirements for Pakistani Nationals

• Registration is mandatory within 24 hours of arrival.
• For Medical Visas – registration must be completed within 7 days.
• Exemption applies only to individuals holding an EPR (Exemption from Police Reporting) visa.
• If departing India within 14 days of first arrival, no registration is needed.

Documents Required for FRRO Registration / Extension

Tourist Visa FRRO Registration

• Photocopy of valid passport
• Copy of Indian visa
• 4 passport-size color photographs
• Three photocopies of the passport pages with the Indian Immigration arrival stamp
• Form C from hotel/lodge OR:

• Utility bill (electricity/landline/municipal) if staying with relatives/friends
• Letter & photo ID of the landlord
• Lease/rental agreement (first & last page + terms page) if staying in rented accommodation
